Great views and I thought the place was very quaint and I was happy to stay for a couple of days - if only because the alternatives are so limited. Having said that, comfortable beds, fabulous views and hot water (albeit slightly idiosyncratic and probably dangerous) made for a good stay for me.

The hotel was terrible! no wi-fi in the room, hot shower is controlled by LPG ( and you can see the tank outside) too far from the city centre. The best you can say about this spot is it is a place to sleep. We unfortunately spent two nights here. Irrespective of the hotel there is little reason to stay in Phonsavan after you have visited the Plain of Jars and a silk operation.
