Beautiful place and garden. Villa was lovely inside, but location was very bad next to the restaurant and parking area. Quite a lot car traffic around, no silent. Beach was nice and quiet and pasta in beach bar was good. Breakfast only average, coffee horrible.

The resort is now known as ThaiLife Meditation and Wellness Resort, and we enjoyed a night here during low season (June 2023). The lake-side villa we stayed in was outstanding...spacious, comfortable bed, beautiful view, absolute peace and quiet - and we loved the outdoor shower too! The staff were very friendly, and the location of the resort near a quiet and secluded beach was wonderful. The main restauarant was undergoing renovations, so both dinner and breakfast was at the resort's beachside restaurant - a short walk from where we were staying. The menu selection was well thought-out, especially for vegetarians, and was both reasnably priced and tasty. The breakfast buffet was also enjoyable, though we did have to ask for the hot dishes to be heated up (which was quick and easy). If you're looking for a quiet retreat in luxurious surroundings, this is a super option and we highly recommend it!

This place is now called Thailife Wellness Resort and Meditation Center. Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens stayed in the Sukothani Suite in March 2023. We really enjoyed it. We wanted to be away from the cookie cutter beachside resorts at a place with more of a traditional Thai feel, and this did not disappoint. The room was really beautiful with the wood architecture and furniture. Note it is still a nature resort so there were small things you have to be OK with- the AC was not strong enough to cool the whole room and was not in the bathroom or kitchen, there were geckos in the room one that pooped on the bed/us at night :) But the location made it worth it- listening to the frogs and birds over the lake in the morning and evening on the patio. The best part for us was having the bikes- each guest gets a bike so you can keep it the whole time you are there- for around the grounds and to the beach and beach bar. The breakfast food was not great but they had interesting local juices and a wide selection. The beach bar food was on par with other beach bars, i.e. OK. They did have lots of smoothie and health juices and a large vegetarian selection. The beach was gorgeous- very isolate and all to yourself. Massage salas on the beach. Note you have to take a 15-25 minute cab to other restaurants so if you want to be close to any kind of action or scene this place is not for you. But if you want a relaxing time at a gorgeous beach all to yourself then this is the place. When we were there the water was perfectly clean, no garbage or jellyfish. The beach goes on for miles so you can walk and walk. The staff was very helpful suggesting trips to nearby beaches, towns and restaurants and arranging transportation.

Very charming place and kind reception. Shuttle bus to the beach and the restaurant. Quality of the restaurant was not like some other but ok. One thing we did not like, the boss was only friendly to the long term guests but that was the only remark we had.

I don't typically write negative reviews of places that I stay. I travel for work and recreation regularly, and if I have a bad experience I typically just stay silent. However, our treatment by the manager at Thailife Homestay Resort & Spa was so bad that I don't want anyone to end up in the same position as us. When we were shown to our room, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and we had to open all the windows to air it out. When we left for dinner, we realized the lock on our door didn't work. When we reported this at reception, we were treated quite dismissively by the maintenance staff until they went to check for themselves and came back to confirm it was broken. They did fix it, only for it to break again the next morning. Also, we asked about going to restaurants in town. We had a list of five that were well-rated and that we wanted to go to. They managed to find an excuse for why we couldn't go to any of them, and directed us to their restaurant, where we were charged 940B for a fairly average meal that would cost half that anywhere else. The worst was yet to come. When we got back to our room, there was a very strong and pervasive smell of wood smoke. This lasted all night—even with the windows closed it was sucked in by the A/C. It was the worst night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel, anywhere in the world. I live in Northern California, and I'm used to the smell of wildfires. I say this because I know what wood smoke smells like and it is relevant to our encounter the next morning. First thing in the morning, I called reception to say that we weren't happy with the room and the smoke situation. The member of staff was very polite and apologetic and told me the manager would be in at 9. When he got in, I went over to reception with my wife where he summoned us in to a side room and very quickly began to aggressively talk at us about how there was no smoking in the rooms at his resort, there was no smell of wood smoke, and that we were lying because we wanted to be somewhere more lively. He also began to change his story and say that he had no control over smoke from somewhere else, while simultaneously denying that it was a problem, even as we could still smell it as we sat with him. He looked us right in the eye and told us that he only "deals in facts" and that we were lying because we wanted to go and stay somewhere else. My wife felt so uncomfortable that she left to deal with the booking website because he refused to refund us. Eventually, he agreed to grant us an early checkout and not charge us for the remaining nights, but wouldn't refund us for the night in question, and sent a member of staff to our room to check if we'd bought anything from the minibar before we left. He didn't show the slightest hint of concern for our wellbeing, he just seemed angry and defensive that we would make a complaint. The smoke situation was bad, but if the manager had dealt with us respectfully and professionally I would not have written this review. As it stands I don't feel comfortable staying quiet because it felt like an environment where any kind of problem or complaint will be taken personally and thrown back on the guest rather than dealt with in a humble and professional manner.

Thank you very much for your comment and we must truly apologize for all the incidents that happened during your stay. We usually have strict smoking regulations that we post in all our villas for guests to kindly only smoke at the balcony. The smell of cigarettes is merely impossible as the only personnel we have that checks the rooms are our housekeeping department. So we will have to further investigate in this regard. We always encourage to go green and try to be very environmentally friendly. If you have seen around the resort, we have signs to save water, to use fewer plastic bottles, to separate and recycle all trash and also, we try to keep our environment as they are, we never kill any animals within the premises either. I do have to apologize regard of the smoke. We are located in a small fisherman village, it may have come from the locals that burn dried leaves, or it could also come from a charcoal factory located a few km away from us. This is an outside factor that we do not have any control of. Also, something we are unable to avoid as it usually happens randomly and seldomly. It is our standard protocol, which I believe is world-wide common procedure at all hotels and resorts when guests are departing the resort on check-out day to send the housekeeping staff to check the mini-bar consumption and to make sure that guests did not forget anything in the room. Regarding the food and beverage, I think our front office staff were trying to introduce you to our restaurant located right by our private beach. At our front office on the advertising board, we have 3 pages of recommended local restaurants, and do always try to encourage and support the local businesses; which is has always been our goal to support the locals ever since the resort has started. With the price of our food, we have kept the same price for several years as a fair resort price by the beach as we receive both Thai and foreigner guests. A fruitful seafood Tom-yum Hot pot for 2 persons at the price of 240 THB or a honey-lime Tequila at 150 THB seemed quite fare and average in prices. On behalf of management team, we humbly have to Thank you very much once again . We do highly appreciate all comments and will give all effort to improve our services. We have no intention to make your holiday a bad one, and we wish you a lovely time on your journey.

Thailife Homestay is really a home away from home. The hospitality you experience here is unklike anywhere else in the world. They offer airport transfer, and you get welcomed with a big smile allready at arrival to Phuket. When you enter the area of Thailife, you dont need to leave it before your holiday is over, simply coz you allready have everything you need close by. The cabins are well spaced and equiped. Some of them have outdoor shower. Enjoy breakfast buffet, with all of the selection you Will probably not feel hungry again before dinner. If you do get hungry you can have Lunch at the beach, or try one of their famous smoothies. Massage here is cheap and so good that I left twice by Day for my 2 weeks. Its next to the beach too. Enjoy dinner at the same beach watching the sun go down. Tuk tuk Will pick you up outside your dusita, enjoy the walk or ride on the complimentary bikes. Sit in the pool at dark and watch the stars as you have to pinch yourself to see if its for real or no. Free shuttle to supermarket at fixed times or pay a small fee to Explore the area around with your own driver. Walk at the almost privat beach all the way to where alle the fishermen are, buy a cold drink and sit under the palmtrees.

Lovely resort. Attractive and comfy villa, and very helpful staff. Great swimming pool, and amazing beach. However, nearby building work going on. Can be a bit noisy from 8 am till 5pm. The resort is a little remote, but the hotel supplies free transport to nearby village and market three days a week. The one disadvantage of being close to nature, is that nature is close to you. We had a couple of million ants in our shower! However, quickly dealt with by housekeeping!

We enjoyed our stay at Thailife very much. Loved the Thai-style decoration and the outdoor shower. The food was amazing and we learned that they grew their own organic salad. This place is quiet and peaceful with walking distance to the beach front where they have the beach bar and restaurant. We also loved the service and friendly staff. I would recommend this place for a romantic getaway or if you are looking for a Thai experience.

This place was wonderful. The bungalows were beautiful and felt very private. We borrowed some bikes to take us to and from the beach each day. The food was excellent and they were very accommodating for our vegan food requests. I could not be happier with my stay here.

A beautiful, secluded setting, surrounded by nature. The resort consists of a number of different villa types in typical, traditional Thai décor, spread around a small lake. We loved the whole atmosphere! Very peaceful and relaxing, at least during our stay. During high season, it will be livelier as well. We stayed at a Sukhothai Suite Villa. Very beautiful Thai décor, homely and comfortable! The villa features a spacious terrace, where we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine in the evening, overlooking the gardens. We also had a dinner at the resort. The small restaurant offers authentic Thai dishes, but also exquisite, western cuisine. You can sit directly by the lake and enjoy the sunset atmosphere. During the afternoon we went down to the beach. It’s a few minutes stroll, but we enjoyed walking through the natural surroundings. For those who don’t want to walk, the resort offers also bicycles. The Beach! Awesome! An almost endless stretch of white sandy beach gently kissed by the ocean waves. If the weather is not too hot, you can walk here for hours and hours. Just a few people on the horizon. We had the entire beach for ourselves. Regrettably, we stayed only for one night, but wished it could have been for a bit longer. If you want to get a feel of traditional Thailand without missing any comfort, stay at ThaiLife Homestay Resort & Spa. You won’t regret it! We will certainly come back here, if we will have another opportunity to visit this area again. But, next time for a longer stay!
