We loved the attention to detail in this beautiful, historic bed and breakfast house. We stayed in a bedroom with a four poster bed. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We were provided with a torch by the side of our bed, chocs, fruit and tea making facilities in the bedroom and a beautiful red rose in the bathroom.... more
We stayed at Haughley House for two nights and found the hosts to be really friendly and full of information about the house and the local area. The vegetable garden is really interesting with the walls made of local flintstone. Haughley is a very interesting Suffolk village and is very close to other areas of great historical value and interest.... more

As a party of six, we took over all three guest rooms at Haughley House the nights of 24 and 25 December 2007. The hosts, Caroline and Jeffrey owden, made us feel most welcome. A friend and I just returned from a trip through England. While there we had the opportunity to stay two nights at Haughley House. What an experience! I invited an old friend over to join us for dinner and a great evening with the owner and his wife. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast - a truly different kind of Bed and Breakfast establishment. Bedrooms all different ours had a slope from one side of the room to the other - all added to atmosphere... more
