Had a great stay at base wanaka the rooms were really clean the staff were fantastic especially darelle and we loved the bar will defiantly be telling friends to stay there and i will be visiting again for sure :)!!!

This was a really nice Base in terms of the rooms. Lovely clean, modern bedrooms with big bunks and a light/power socket by each bunk which is really handy. I stayed for one night at this hotel. It was vey clean and there are a good number of facilities (shower and washrooms) available. The bar at this hostel is good, but the food was just OK. I do not expect much for 8 or 9$ but if the garlic bread is the best option, it says everything.

Clean, conveniently located, however this doesn't make up for the tiny kitchen and loud music blaring until very late at night. Also too few bathrooms for the number of people. Overall, soulless and bland.

Me and my husband stayed as a couple so keep that in mind when reading this. Definitely a place for single travellers, it was really noisy all through the night.
