Our travel agent booked this for us so we did not knot what to expect. We loved our stay. It was just a beautiful place and we really felt at home. The owners gave us directions and suggestions, not to mention the best breakfast we have had in New Zealand.

We spent a night at this cottage. The couple that runs this is very warm and friendly. They have a wonderful home in Albert town. A short drive from the lake. We had the best breakfast which was cooked by the host. Excellent scrambled eggs with bacon and fresh fruit with yogurt with a choice of cereal. The biggest breakfast... More

Though not expected we were instantly made welcome and our night here was one of the best. Ferryman's Cottage is delightful. The bedroom and ensuite were both very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served in a lovely room overlooking the garden. We enjoyed a good meal in the local inn, which was within walking distance and... More

Immediately we arrived at Ferryman's Cottage, we were smitten. Very pretty cottage with lovely accommodation to match. Marie and Bryan our hosts could not have been more pleasant and the breakfasts came top of the class for us in New Zealand. The location of the cottage was perfect and, with Marie and Bryan's helpful advice of what to see and... More

I had not read the reviews before booking so I was pleasantly surprised by the house and even more by the hosts and the food they offer. Pure luxury, much appreciated. Albert town looked rather boring upon arrival but turned out to offer all we needed : quiet walk along the river and easy access to the splendid Rob Roy... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferrymans Cottage, our hosts were a delightful couple, the accommodation was first class and in a most picturesque garden setting. What added to the attractiveness of the cottage was learning of its history, as the name indicates, it was one of the original buildings of the area. we can highly recommend a few days... More

Marie and Bryan went to such a lot of trouble to make me welcome in their beautiful home. My room was very comfortable and I slept like a log (though this may have had something to do with the wine served with a delicious dinner). I'm just sorry that I was able ot stay only one night.

This cottage is enbedded in a beautiful garden that invites people to sit outside and enjoy the splendid flowers. Its location is very handy to a river that allows for swimming and fantastic walks. But best of all is the breakfast.... Marie and Bryan are really going out of their way to provide the most amazing breakfast with fresh ingredients... More

This 19th century fairy-tale cottage is located in a quiet town just outside Wanaka. It has been beautifully restored and tastefully furnished with period furniture. The front yard features a true English style cottage garden with stone pathway, rose-covered trellis and gingerbread trim. The owners, Marie and Brian, have clearly put their hearts into this lovely place, and we really... More
