We needed a place to stay on short notice and were happy to have found Peak Sport Chalet. We had a private cosy suite that was warm as the weather was getting cold. The hosts were wonderful! Highly recommend it for a place to stay when in Wanaka.

I had been searching the Internet for ages for a perfect place to stay and then I decided to look in my guide book and found Peak Sport Chalet, it was just what we had been looking for, somewhere for the two of us with facilities to cook our own food, a great location with a view of the snowy... We stayed there for just one night, but Alex was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed! My parents were apprehensive about staying at a B&B but the Sportchalet had all the possible amenities we would have wanted -- great heating, spacious, wifi, a full kitchen! The continental breakfast he offers is a steal at only... More

Thank you for your review. Sorry I wasn't able to meet you in person, but trust Alex looked after you very well. The advantage of staying in a B&B and/or small personal self-contained accommodation is the individual contact between guests and hosts. We take pride in making our guests stay an outstanding experience to remember. Glad you and your parents... More

Although a very short drive A fantastic place with excellent quality amenities provided especially in the kitchen and the bathroom (heated flooring was very welcome in the winter). Our stay was extremely comfortable and we thought it was one of the best places we have stayed throughout our travels across New Zealand. Our hosts were really friendly and nice, and... More

A few minutes out of the shopping area but a lovely quiet spot with a delightful view of Black Peak. Owners were very friendly and very helpful. Unit was extremely comfortable, clean with well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, chairs, and settee. Wood burner fire made it very snug. Only negatives were we couldn't get the can opener to work and... More

Thank you for your review. We really enjoyed hosting you and your information about gluten free will benefit a lot of our future customers. Sorry about the can opener, we didn't know it wasn't working any longer, as it still looks absolutely fine, but you are right - we couldn't make it work either. Needless to say, we replaced it.... Great chalet. Very clean and well set up; great kitchen. We stayed as a family with 4 adult children - we just found that two people had to sleep on the couches (beds) which were comfortable but unsuitable for tall people. Our hosts were extremely hospitable. A strong recommendation for this lovely lodge.

Thank you for your response. We always aim for the most comfortable stay of our guests and we are glad to learn that you liked our Chalet. However, I would like to make a comment about the sofa beds. Our web-site indicates that there are 2 sofa beds, one in the twin room and one in the lounge. Your booking... More

Nice stay with fully equipped kitchen. Very clean. Alex and Christine are so nice and helpful. This is the best accommodation through my way down to South. Would strongly recommend this lodge to those travelers who will spend a night in Wanaka.

My partner and I stayed with Alex and Christine on April 7, 2013. Their welcome was genuine and warm and they even joined us for breakfast which was both charming and informative about the locality. The organic breakfast was the tastiest and best presented breakfast we had during a month of travel. The acommodation was private, quiet and comfortable and... More
