It looks like a true piece of history from the front and as you walk into the cosy bar and restaurant! Behind it hides beautifully appointed, airy, tastefully modern rooms, looking out onto a picturesque cottage garden filled with roses and other flowers waving in the window! Food at restaurant well worth sampling, and if you don't have a Speights...

We stopped here a couple of times for afternoon refreshments so can't rate the accommodation. The service was friendly and efficient. The beer garden is pretty and the pub has a lot of character. Unfortunately the whole place has a slightly run-down feeling as though it has been let go a bit.

This is a hotel that also has a bar & a restaurant. This rating is only for the restaurant that states that it closes at 2 pm but had no one to serve customers at 1pm.
The establishment doesn't have a separate listing for the bar or restaurant which makes it almost impossible to rate in Tripadvisor. A common problem...

This is a great lunch stop on the winding road between Wanaka and Queenstown. The place was very busy when we arrived at 11:30 and was packed by 12 - so obviously it's very busy indeed in the peak season. The choice of food was really good and it arrived quickly and was delicious. The garden is pretty and has...

A rambling kind of place, with comfortable beds, a beautiful summer garden and well, wonderful food - a rockin' breakfast of granola, yogurt, and cold cuts, plus a salmon cooked to perfection with lemon/caper sauce for dinner. Stayed for New Year's Eve and enjoyed sitting outdoors with a roaring fire near by. Great energy, happy people and live music to...

On the roadside just outside Wanaka you will find this wonderful old hotel. It's full of memorabilia, coins and notes pasted on the ceiling. The open fires cast a warm glow over the occupants tucking in to Anti Pasta Platters and Pastries on cold Winter nights.
