Have written most of my review under the restaurant site - whoops. Anyway, this place is wonderful and a haven, best hotel I have stayed at in forever. Carteret is a small and somewhat isolated seaside town on the west coast of Normandy. La Marine is in the small town of Carteret, two miles from the main town centre of Barneville. It has an excellent location on the harbour with most rooms looking across the harbour to the dunes of Barneville Plage and some looking down the harbour out to sea.
