Friendly little hotel up steep steps from a main street in Modica - look for the steps going up next to no. 290 on Corso Umberto I. Great view over the town and a laid-back, welcoming ambience. French and English spoken in addition to Italian. Very cheap at 32 euros B&B (single). Although the bed wasn't very high quality, the room had the basic furnishings, including TV and ensuite bathroom (no air conditioning). I was advised to park in a particular spot on a street above the hotel and then walk down to the entrance, and this worked okay. A likeable place.
