This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The historic part is interesting, the "sixties" style concrete extension looks ghastly, but the bathrooms have been refurbished and the rooms were comfortable enough. A beautiful building, in a beautiful place. The food was as good as I've had anywhere. Fell in love with the woodcarving, as did the king of Norway, who commissioned the chap to do up one of his palaces. Class act!
