This lovely, comfortable castle with fantastic views of the Rio Bidasoa and the frontier between Spain and France was perfect in every way. This little quiet hotel is absolutely perfect. Set in a very old building (as most of the town seems to be, wonderfully preserved) this was once the home of the biship of Hondaribia. This is a beautiful hotel, though I am a little confused about it being listed here under Irun. It is in Hondarribia just around the corner from the Parador on top of the hill in the old walled city.
