Wincham hall seems to be regarded by local as quitea "posh" hotel, from website it does look be be very nice. I can only assume the wedding taking place got the better rooms as ours was very shabby. The majority of things were broken (TV remote, light above bath room mirror, toilet roll holder, bathroom blind and the shower cord... more

We recently had our wedding reception here in June 2009. This is a great venue for a wedding and the staff worked so hard to make our day run smoothly. We found the staff to be fully accommodating all throughout the preparations. The gardens are beautiful and a great setting for wedding photographs! We all had a great time and... more

Firstly I must state that we did not stay at this hotel, we tried to book a room for our wedding night but were informed by the hotel that they were fully booked, this was before any of our wedding guests had booked their rooms, ok maybe there was a block cancellation after I had tried to book that created... more

We had our reception at Wincham Hall and it was absolutley wonderful!!! The hotel is full of character and charm. If you are looking for a modern place then this is not it but if you want a friendly, warm, family run place then its great. Staff are brilliant, food georgeous!! Stayed here for a wedding. The hotel looks ok on its website, in reality it is dated, shabby and poor value for money. Our room said it was a non-smoking room but I think it had once been a smoking room and had not be decorated since so it stank of stale cigarettes. We arrived with a travel cot for... more

It all looks nice enough on their website but the reality is the opposite. We were lucky enough to only have one night there (or unlucky enough!) The rooms were run down and tired, we were missing a handle on the door on arrival; the beds were uncomfortable, tiny and very old. The meal that evening was expensive and inedible.... more

we stayed at Winchal Hall aswe were attending a wedding there and as close friends of the bride and groom had a room. The reception and evening went brilliantly for the majority of guests who didn't have to deal with the rude staff - one in particular was very defensive and argued back at any opportunity, for example cutting the... more

Although this review was left in December 2007 CheshireJac attended a wedding here in September 2003. The Dempsey/Todd family took over the hotel in April 2004 and since then have received nothing but praise from guests. My advice would be to visit the hotel and read the dozens of Thank You cards that they receive from their guests each year....

We live overseas and found Wincham Hall via the Internet. We were looking for a venue for our Wedding Reception. We booked Wincham Hall for our wedding on 1st December 2007. We had a fantastic day and night. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. We had the hotel booked from the Friday night, our rooms were fine.... more

We were married on 4th August 2007 and we had our wedding reception and disco at Wincham Hall Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, and Wincham Hall's staff were always ready to help. Right from the start we were greeted with warmth and kindness. On our wedding day the food was as described and of a very good standard; the... more

We stayed at the Wincham hall Hotel as it was the venue for a wedding to which we were invited. The hotel had been block booked for the wedding guests and the bridal party and the reception was held in the very pleasant banqueting suite. The gardens of the hotel are also very attractive, with sweeping lawns. However, when we... more
