We were made very welcome by Edmund and looked after extremely well during our recent stay. Dog no problem, ideally located as just behind the property up the road a fine field/walk for 4-legged friend... All pubs/restaurants in the town also dogfriendly! We can highly recommend this guesthouse, it is good value for money.

My Wife & I had the pleasure of staying at Hansard House for seven days and the hospitality afforded us by Edmond & Hillary was superb. Friendly and relaxed, comfy bed, good breakfast, would recommend.

I choose this establishment due to its proximity to my temporary workplace. I ended up staying there for my entire duration of 3 weeks. If I am ever working nearby again, I shall certainly book a room there. Everyone was friendly, informative. Just 3 minutes walk from East Devon Golf Club and some terrific Jurassic Coast walks, Hansard House Hotel offers comfortable rooms, plenty of hot water and a great full English breakfast. To be recommended.

No wonder the number of people holidaying in the UK is falling, when you have to pay £98 a room, a night for this. Average, boring, plain, uncomfortable,dated. Our stay was punctuated by excellent hosting, a clean and comfortable room, superb breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located for the town and the beach. Edmund and Hilary demonstrated courtesy, efficiency, humour and amenability. Anyone who has found grounds to complain about this hotel should, perhaps be more introspective!
