Popped into the Old Lodge on Saturday 18th May, for a cheeky glass of wine or 2 with a friend..we sampled a little bowl of the home cooked chips which just hit the spot. The lunch and dinner menu looks scrumptious and I will definately be returning with other friends Rebecca who I believe is the new manageress of the... More

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Old Lodge earlier this month. We were both pleasantly surprised because on our last trip in 2010 the hotel was in disarray and facing closure. The current owner Mike and his team made us feel welcome and looked after us. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more... More

The hotel was beautiful, clean and welcoming! The staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable. We look forward to returning! The food was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful, and the best coffee! The public areas were very comfortable and welcoming. Drinks at the bar were great, and the weather was perfect for the outdoor seating!

We had our daughters18th b'day dinner party here, and couldnt have wished for more. We chose this venue due to the modern, classy, boutique style decor. We had use of the lounge room which was prepped just right , on arrival the staff were very attentive which continued all evening even though busy in the restaurant. The food for 26... More

This could be a brilliant hotel but the management is very amateurish. The hotel needs a good manager - not a property developer to run it. The staff are friendly and helpful but not sure an ex navy chef is the right choice for head chef - time will tell! Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is really good... More

We chose the Old Lodge to have a family lunch to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. There were 17 of us & we were accommodated in what was the bar but is now a lounge. We had a traditional roast and chose the option of buying joints. The meat was carved for us & served on woden platters with the... More

Hi Rocketdog - glad you had such a great time for your son's birthday and that in a small way we were able to make it more special. Our meat joint options are very popular and good value for money. Hope to join you for your next celebration! More

Rang the Old Lodge to try and book Sunday lunch and spoke to a man who was very abrupt and put the phone down on us. Went elsewhere and will continue to do so. Customer Service may have improved since then but first impressions count.

Sorry you are unhappy with our telephone manor, I do believe this was a very busy Sunday, it is often advisable to book in advance as we are quite popular. I hope you come and try us in the future and rate the complete experience. More

Dined there this evening and from the beginning found the owner and staff to be rude, uninterested and without a jot of customer awareness. You get ignored at the bar unless you happen to be a regular. This is sad for the chef as he/she can cook, but is let down by poor service in front of house and poor... More

Stayed last minute due to work. Arrived to a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Hotel was spotless and rooms were immaculate. Mike the owner was a genuine guy who would do anything to help.
