Stopped at the West Loch on route to Islay. Lovely clean rooms and heated well. The staff were very helpful when we rang to say we had been delayed. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Both the double room and family room we booked were very good value for money. Friendly and welcoming staff. more

Stopped here for first night of our 3 week touring holiday of the highlands and islands before moving onto the Lochailort Inn. We decided to start our holiday by travelling down the seafood trail. After eating at the Loch Fyne Seafood restaurant we headed down Loch Fyne to find somewhere to stay for the night. We eventualy arrived at Tarbert... more

Lovely wee place, ideal for an overnight stay on the way to the Islay ferry. Room was light and spacious, with what seemed to be a brand new bathroom. Nice comfy sofas in the shared area, and the bar was very pleasant with a nice view over the loch. Full marks go to both the excellent food (which comes in... more

We went as a group of nearly 30 for a meal to this hotel. The food itself could not be faulted by the guests that actually received their meal! The main problem I felt was that the kitchen cannot cope with large covers. The meal was pre-booked and the hotel was give a rough idea of what everyone would be... more

We remember this one well. Firstly our Hotel has small areas none will seat more than 28 so as this table was originally for less than this number it was not a problem, when more people were added we had to sit them on separate tables, sorry just how it is in a 200 year old Hotel. If we had...

This is a pleasant unpretentious hotel, offering friendly and efficient staff, lovely lochside view, clean & comfortable room at a cost that doesn't make you feel you've been ripped off. The room was small - only room for one bedside table, not much space if you had more thna an overnight bag, and the shower didn't drain very well. Food... more

WOW! what a fantastic, beautiful and well kept hotel! I can now finally say that i've found a place where i can truly relax, looking over the georgeous loch whilst sitting down to an excellent meal. The hotel is immaculate and very comfortable. Jon and Anna are the most wonderful hosts and know how to manage a hotel. I have... more

New Owners took over hotel at beginning of summer and they are currently trying to upgrade many things, the bedrooms and sitting area amongst them. ALL the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful about where to go and what to see, the restaurant looks out over west loch bay and it was spectacular to sit and look out at the... more

The place itself has all the basics covered well. The place is very scenic and peacful, staff friendly and helpful at all times. The restaurant looks out to the sand beaches and golf course, so on a good day makes a lovely view while having breakfast/dinner. There is also a decent lounge area if you dont want to go to... more
