From the moment we met Isabel we could not have been made more welcome. Breakfasts were magnificent: fresh fruit, full Scottish, even defeated my husband who can eat for Scotland! Really comfy beds and rooms, and our son had the loft above us with a choice of 6 beds! In high season too! Isabel even bought us gifts for our... More

On a holiday filled with last minute accommodation bookings we somehow managed to fall squarely on our feet every night, and The Cuillins was no exception. Our room had a double bed and six (yes, six) single beds which was perfect for our large group. We were even given access to the bathroom of the vacant next-door bedroom to avoid... More

The area seems to be underrated with international tourist. But that is certainly an advantage. It is very nice and you can easily reach Islay or any part on Kintyre, for instance, and not very crowded. If you choose to spend a few days here, try to book a room at the Cuillins. At first glance, it might not seem... More

We stayed for just one night at the end of September and really loved Tarbert. Much effort has been put into The Kintyre Way which starts in the town. The Cuillins was a real find too. A spacious double room, very clean and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was great too with a really good shower. Best of all though is... More

We were 4 guys staying one night on our way from Glasgow to Islay. We had a lovely stay and were overwhelmed by Isabel's hospitality! The rooms were clean and nice. We didn't try the breakfast as we were leaving early for the ferry and decided to eat on the ferry. Isabel was however prepared to serve us breakfast at... More

My wife and I spent 1 night here at the Cuillins b&b for the Tarbert music festival and can't fault it in any way. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome and made to feel we were more like family than guests. The room we were allocated was lovely and the en- suite was of a very... More

We stopped here overnight before getting the ferry to Islay and Jura. I'm surprised the ferry didn't sink after the breakfast we had! A huge bowl of fresh fruit, juice, toast and a full cooked breakfast that with everything you could want. Rooms are fine, and very accomodating of dogs. Excellent value and Isobel is very friendly. Top place. More

We love the Kintyre Peninsula and enjoy a stopover in Tarbert. The Cuillins is a great B&B. Cozy, friendly - and the food is fantastic! One negative comment - it would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom. But not a big miss. More
