Lumino's casa was a haven for us. We had just arrived in Cuba and she and Heriberto took us in, fed us extremely well and arranged one of the most fun treks through farm land and caves. We spent a couple of nights at Lumino's lovely house in Feb 2009. We felt very welcome by Lumino and her son Heriberto. We didn't speak much spanish but managed to have lovely long discussions with them. Lumino is also a great cook. Highly recommend this place to anyone who likes to stay at family places. more

Go to Vinales. Do not miss the opportunity. And stay at Lumino's casa. We'll find the best of Cuba's people, the best hostess and the best cook and traditional food. Highly recommended. more

Staying with Lumino was easily the highlight of my trip; her warm family, beautifully kept casa and delicious food made our stay in Vinyales that much more special. :) I know I'll be staying with her again on my next visit in! And ask if she'll show you how to make a mojito; wow! more

Great location, excellent food---the breakfast and dinners are amazing. Very comfortable and Lumino and Humberto are always around and ready to please. Would stay again.....great casa:):) more

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Casa Lumino in Vinales. Lumino was a great host and a very good cook. The room was large with access to Juice, water and coffee. Sharing with Lumino and her family was one of the high points of our Cuban adventure.... We went horse riding with a very good guide. We can highly recommend... more

We arrived on the bus, and spotted Lumino with a poster stating my name! What a relief when we saw ALL the women from the village hassling for your money! She guided us along the road, up the path to her home--passed chickens/dogs/dust . We had a clean , basic bedroom, with the best bathroom, in all of cuba! She... more

mt and my partner stayed for 2 nights and we felt very welcome there. We speak no spanish but it was fine as Lumino has a excellent sign language skills! The food was excellent and we felt we had a lot of privicy. Make sure you take ear plugs as the cockerals are very loud in the morning. more
