We stayed in this Casa in March 2008, and it was the best one we stayed in in Cuba! Mercedes is a wonderful and friendly hostess, nothing is too much to ask and she will do all she can to make you feel relaxed and at home. Her cooking was amazing, and she fed us so much and so well that we needed a nap just to recover afterwards! She brought us tasty expresso coffees and biscuits to enjoy on the porch as we relaxed, read and watched the world go by.

Her son Maikel works as the PR Manager at the Hotel Ermita in Viniales, and he is also extremely friendly and helpful. He also speaks excellent English and French, and is able to organise walking/bicycle/horse-riding tours and give you any kind of information you might need. He can also arrange for you to use the swimming pool at the Hotel Ermita (4* hotel) which has absolutely stunning views, and is a nice way to cool off after a hard day of hiking through the stunning Cuban countryside.
