Booked Pipers for a group of school children who were competing at NIPS. It was a well located place to stay, breakfast & dinner included in the price. It was clean, warm and welcoming for the whole week. We're back again this year.

This " highest hotel in NZ" is in just in the Tongariro national park so ideal is you are going to do the Tongariro Alpine crossing. The building is a ski lodge style with half hotel rooms ensuite and half backpacker style rooms with 3 bunks and shared bathroom facilities.

The most friendly and helpful group of staff you could ever ask for! Well run, efficient with lots to do and lovely people to help you whenever you need it. The food was delicious and they are super flexible in everything they do! 100% loved my stay!
