Was in Hydro Hotel with a few friends from Singapore recently and we really had a GREAT time! It was about the same distance from George Town and to Batu Feringghi, so we settle here for a nice place, with not so many peoples...it's pretty quite and nice for hang out with friends, and especially with friends who loves food... more

Stayed 2 nights in october. Toilet was more or less facing my bed and without door. Private beach as they claimed was a let down. However at S$60 per night, you are in a safe hotel. more

On first impression the hotel looks great, nice large open plan reception/bar area. Early checkin was a bonus. Rooms are large and clean when you arrive. Altho that changes once you occupy a room. Room is large but with old furniture. Bathroom also outdated. The hotel is not beach frontage and you there is an overhead bridge from the swimming pool to cross the road to the beach and you have to pass by a dipilidated cafe by the road side. more

I guess the overall impression of this hotel is not good as the beach is not good for swimming, too many rocks in the water and on the beach, also the location of the hotel is poor with nothing within walking distance, in fact to walk on the road is dangerous due to no path ways and narrow winding country... more
