Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Lefteris & family were welcoming & very accommodating all the way through. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel which makes their guests feel like part of the family. Lefteris upgraded us to a bigger room free of charge which was a nice surprise. Rooms came with everything you would expect (soap, shower gel, towels) & pool towels can be obtained from the bar. On our first day/evening we got offered a drink each on the house. Breakfast was very good with various options on offer. Items such as sausage, bacon, eggs, continental ham & cheese, breads, cereal, fruit & yoghurt were available everyday. There is a restaurant called Oinos on the edge of the town (about 10 minutes walk from hotel) which is owned by the family. The pool was quiet most days as other guests often did their own thing. This was good for a relaxing day by the pool or for a relaxing swim. All in all Lefteris & family went above & beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, even sourcing a wheelchair when my partner sprained her ankle, allowing us to get back to the room. I cannot recommend Bright Star enough & would definitely return.

This was a lovely family run hotel. Service was excellent & staff very friendly. The owner also owns cars to hire and restaurant, in walking distance, but food can be ordered, delivered to and eaten at the hotel. Would totally recommend.

We arrived late but Lefteris was there to greet us with a welcome drink. Transport to and from the airport was arranged and included, and we were able to keep our room on until the evening when we left without question or charge. Lefteris, his mother, Maria and Lara were always friendly and happy to chat. The apartment was spotless and modern looking onto a lovely pool. There was a reasonable selection for a continental breakfast with Maria providing freshly cooked eggs. Faliraki centre was a 5-10 minute walk and bus stops to other parts of the island were nearby. We found the family restaurant was probably our favourite and customers were treated like friends. There would be no hesitation to book this accommodation again if we were visiting Rhodes.

We were coming to Rhodes for 2 weeks and week 1 was spent here. Lefteri and Diana could not do enough to be of assistance and ensure we had a great stay. We booked 2 bed superior apartment. It was great, spotlessly clean, a/c in both bedrooms and a great size, it was on the top floor of the apartments and had a lovely view. Breakfast is continental style with eggs, bacon too, coffee machine was great, nicest coffee we had the whole two weeks in Rhodes. The beach, restaurants are a 10 minute walk, the beach is lovely and sandy and had a great fun inflatable park. We did the waterpark but feel our kids were probably the wrong age, good for under 4's and over 12's. We did the little train around Faliraki and was good to get our bearings. The pool was fab and badly needed on the hot days, no rush for sunbeds and it felt we mostly had it to ourselves, its spotless with the little robot cleaner in it every night. Lefteri organised our airport transfer which was great, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely come again, great location.

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Bright Star. This was a last minute booking following cancelled holidays elsewhere, we weren’t expecting much but have been left with our expectations well exceeded and definitely will return in the future! Lefteris and his family are great hosts and really cannot do enough for you, anything you want can be arranged! The property is clean and modern with many rooms refurbished, the pool area is lovely and relaxing with decent and comfortable sun beds. They also have a restaurant a 5 minute walk away where we dined a couple of times, the food was great and reasonably priced. The beach is a 10 minute walk where many bars and restaurants can be found with the town centre a further 5 minutes from here. Thanks for a great holiday Bright Star - can’t wait to return!

A last minute holiday change took us to Rhodes and to the Bright Star Aparthotel. As a creature of habit on my holiday I was a tad nervous about going somewhere new but this concern passed immediately on our arrival. Greated by the wonderful owner we felt so relaxed within minutes as we had a lovely welcome drink in the bar. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and have been recently refurbished. Beds are comfy, bathrooms spacious and with Covid being on everyones mind loads of Anti-Bac gel in our room and the bar area. Breakfast filling and more'ish! Pool is clean and big enough for a swim and sunbeds relaxing. You cannot want for anything and if within the realms of possibilty the owner, Lefteris, will do everything he can to help. Restaurants and bars about 10 mins max away, beach similar so far enough away from the main resort making it nice and quiet but close enough to access this when you want. Had a really fun and enjoyable holiday and will certainly return.

We are just back from a 12 day stay at Bright Star. Bright star is a charming family run hotel located in a quiet area 10 minutes walk from the beaches and Faliraki city centre. Our room which had been recently renovated was very modern with a big bathroom with Italian shower, large terrace with view to the pool. It was immaculate and cleaned every day. Breakfast was excellent. We were picked up from the airport with a welcome drink. Thank you and good luck to Lefteris and his family. We hope to visit again.

Just back from a week at the Bright Star. There were seven of us in three apartments two studios and one two bedroom. The rooms were serviced daily with clean sheets and towels every other day. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and the food was as we expected, Greek breakfast is not the full english but the standard Greek fare that you will get anywhere hot and cold options and plenty of it.Rooms have been updated to a good standard however typical plumbing and solar water heating so only hot in the evening but once you know that this is what to expect it is no problem. The family that run the place were very helpfull and friendly and we would not hesitate to go back again.

I stayed in Bright Star last Sept because of the excellent reviews. The rooms are basic but clean, the 2 people responsible for cleaning were lovely always friendly and polite and extremely helpful. When we arrived we were offered a complementary drink which was a nice touch, but when I heard the owner telling staff to take the money out of the staff tips, it took all the good out of the gesture. Whilst initially friendly, when we said we didn't want a room tab the attitude changed and by the end of the holiday we felt really unwelcome and spend most of our time away from the hotel. The only saving grace was that the guests in the hotel were lovely. The prices at the bar were extremely expensive, €5 more for a pizza and two drinks than we paid in town. There was a sign in the rooms stating that food and drinks including water, not bought in the hotel, could not be consumed at the pool. I understand the food rule but water? The water in the bar is €1 most restaurants charge 50 cent and shops 35 cent. The person behind the bar was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional, one morning she was discussing family difficulties in front of the guests . Breakfast was included in the price, the choice was very poor as the hot food was awful and not very hot. Also the food was not replenished, once it was gone, if you were late for breakfast there would be less choice. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the town and the beach, and a 10 minute walk to the nearest shop but it is quite a busy road and no pavement . All in all our stay in this property was not very pleasant.
