I really enjoyed the family atmosphere at Sofia’s pension. The amazing Sofia would climb a flight of stairs to the rooftop terrace with a tray of home made goodies for breakfast each morning. It was a delightful atmosphere and small enough that the various guests felt quite comfortable talking to each other over breakfast. The location was brilliant, right near the main road, but far enough away to be really quiet. This meant easy access to a huge range of restaurants and shops. Most cars are not allowed into the Old town because of the narrow streets, but Sofia arranged for one of the few people who had a permit to get inside to collect me from the airport and deliver me to her door. The pension is her old family home and she treats each of her guests as family, but is not intrusive.

This is a wonderfully homely hotel in an excellent location. The owner Sofia goes above and beyond to ensure all her guests are happy and feel like they are special. Her rooms are quaint but very clean with exceptionally comfortable beds. We were in room 4 which had a spacious en suite shower room and looked out onto a pretty terrace where breakfast was served. Sofia makes her own jams, marmalades and little Greek sweet cakes/breads. Breakfast comes with toast, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, delicious feta cheese, honey, her homemade selections, tea, coffee, orange juice etc. Nothing is too much trouble. Room cleaning is daily with fresh towels and linen. Sofia and her daughter kindly printed documents we needed and arranged an electric cart free of charge to get as to the hotel when we arrived and again upon check out so that we didn't have to trawl our suitcases across the cobbled streets of the old town. Regular taxis and airport transfers are not allowed within the walls of the old town so they drop off and collect you at one of the many "gates". A magnificent stay at a comfortable, very reasonably priced hotel where you are treated with great attention and met with warm, genuine smiles each time you see Sofia, her daughter or staff. We plan to return in Spring 2024! Recommend you book direct on her website as she offers best price and you pay at the end of your stay.

Nothing is too much trouble for Sophia, the rooms are very comfortable with excellent air con, her breakfasts are ample and everything is fresh, the homemade marmalade is delicious! Perfectly located in a quiet corner, just off the busy streets in the centre of the Old Town. Highly recommended! The roof terrace is perfect for a sit and relax after a busy day.

Friends recommended Sofia’s to us and we loved staying here. Sofia and her family are very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. They arranged a car hire, advised a great place to go to use a pool for the day, and were on hand to help with any questions we had. The building is a previous family home which has been turned into a guest house. The rooms are well equipped and it was a great base for exploring Rhodes. The breakfast on the upper terrace was great, plenty of food to set you up for the day. We are planning to return later on the year and we will definitely stay at Sofias again.

Escape from the tourist crowd and the kitsch shops in this oasis of simple yet authentic and hospitable dwelling! Mrs Sofia will welcome you and treat you like family, expect a simple but really tasty and fresh breakfast on the terrace where the playful sparrows and the well maintained flowers and herbs will keep you company while you sip your Greek coffee. Rooms spacious, very clean, air conditioned and with strong WiFi.

This is really a lovely family run pension in the heard of the old town. Ideal location to explore the city as well as the beaches, which are a short stroll away. The staff is fantastic. You will come across different members of the family and they are all extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to go back to.

Pension Sofia is tucked away down a cobbled street. Ask for help in gettung transfers to the accommodation to avoid lugging cases over cobbled roads. Lovely room, not over big byt mire than adequate. Very good facilities. A truly excellent breakfast. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. This is nit a flashy glitzy hotel. It is an exquisite pension ideal as a base for visiting the Mediaeval Town and the haunting Jewish Quarter and Museum. Highly recommend this lovely pension.
