We stayed at this hotel in the last week of October so things were quietening down. The hotel was very clean in all areas, our towels were changed every day, even if we hung them up to dry. our sheets were changed once during our week's stay, something I didn't expect. We had the 'all inclusive' option which entitled us... more

We have just returned from 10 day stay at Lydia Maris on Rhodes. Myself, husband & 2 children (aged 9 & 61/2) all had a fab time & would definately love to return there again. The rooms were spotless, pool caters for everyone (toddlers & non-swimmers like myself with some areas waist deep up to 1.55m).When we arrived there seemed... more

Prior to arriving I was expecting a 5 star rated luxury hotel instead I found a third world campus, surrounding the luxurious swimming pool. The rooms were tired and dirty it even had a bird's nest in my bathroom. The service was poor at best and the food was ordinary. Do yourself a favour and spend your money more wisely... more

Tony,Isobel and family, Glasgow. A 5 star hotel that should have a 2 star rating. Our family stayed in this rodent infested cess pit for 2 weeks and endured very poor accomadation, cuisine and genaral hygiene. The attitude of the hotel staff, when they were not beating up foreign female visitors, was appaling. the only tolerable aspect of this stay... more

Hi , we are john & Jackie from suffolk. We read the reviews before going , and decided to make our own minds up about the Lydia Maris. We could not find anything to complain about. The staff were all excellent especially the restaurant manager who we called Sam. He went out of his way to make our stay brilliant,especially... more

Please dont be put off by the reviews for this hotel, i could not fault this hotel one bit. We arrived at 4am to be greeted by the manager who helped us to our rooms with the cases. We upgraded to the junior suite which was very nice, clean bedding and towels every day. The only downfall i could say was... more

The hotel is not of 4 stars it is of 3. The main building and the swimming pool are very nice but the rooms are not the same. I`ve found a litle hole in the sheet and they didn`t put bath foam and shampoo in the bathroom. Sometime the room was made up at 2 pm. The landscape around the... more

All I can say food crap, resort very dirty and under developed, staff dirty, rooms refurbished on a low budget, all that was needed was Basil Fawlty to round things off.....do not go unless you want to experience staying in a very poor hotel & resort. more

Having done numerous internet searches on Rhodes, I stumbled across the website for the Lydia Maris. The hotel is ~20 years old, but had been totally refurbished for summer 2006. In advance, we knew that Kolymbia is a very 'German' resort, but upon checking some German hotel review sites, the Lydia Maris got rave reviews. The website pictures were gorgeous,... more
