The hotel was easy enough to find at one end of Montalcino, and at the back the terrace looks out over the dry Sienese crete which is quite a contrast from the lush verdant landscape in the Chianti region. Much better than we had expected and a great value for the price we paid. Our room was small, but well appointed, and we had the most amazing views of the Tuscan landscape. There was a nice pool area and breakfast terrace with the same fantastic views and a quality breakfast. Free internet and the staff were helpful and accommodating.... more

Highly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel. The staff was so helpful on every question we had. they found us wineries to go to, where to get a vespa rental and where to eat, shop. they have a beautiful pool overlooking the tusany countryside. the sunsets were amazing. Bottom line; the staff was at best grudgingly helpful, and at worst arrogant and dismissive. Our family of three stayed four days and is not by any stretch of the imagination the “demanding Americans” that has been stereotyped.
