We stayed at Villa Murray in late October. The location (just south of Florence) was great for our tour of Tuscany as the Villa is just a 5 minute car ride to the bus to Florence and a short drive to Greve and the Chianti region. Silvia and her assistant, Agatha, were great in many ways, including helping us with... more

My husband and I were on a work related trip for one night. We arrived with a warm welcome and a great room. I needed an extra hour after the check out time and it was no problem. I hope to stay at Villa next year when I have to go back. I will recommend to my colleagues. more

We stayed at the Villa at the beginning of October. We wanted a place that was close to Florence but not in Florence. Silvia was very nice and welcoming - she really goes out of her way to look after her guests. The Villa is pretty close to the highway and easy to find. We stayed on the bottom floor... more

Based on the excellent ratings of Villa Murray on Trip Advisor, we decided to stay there on our recent trip through Tuscany. We arrived October 3, 2009 for a four nights stay and knew immediately we had made the right decision. Silvia warmly greeted us to her beautiful, charming, and lovely furnished villa situated in a beautiful country setting. The... more

We stayed at Villa Murray for two nights with 6 people in total. All I can say is: Fantastic location, a beautiful villa which has been carefully restored so that everything is top level (entertainment room!), but kept its charme of the olden days. The landlady is a true charmer, very welcoming and she really made us feel at home.... more

We had intended to stay at Villa Murray for one night but ended up staying for four! It is a perfect location for visiting Florence by bus and the areas of Chianti and Tuscany if you have a car. The villa is beautiful, grand, luxurious but so comfortable and welcoming. Silvia and her assistant are so helpful and knowledgable about... more

We had the wonderful good fortune to find Villa Murray for our Tuscan holiday! Villa Murray is conviently located minutes outside of Florence and truly is the "doorway" to the Chianti Region of Tuscany. Syvlia is wonderful, hospitable, and attentive to her guests...while we were almost halfway around the world from our home in Texas, Sylvia made us feel at... more

The winding track through the trees and whispering bamboo lead us to this very special Bed and Breakfast villa. The serene fifteenth century villa sits in its own grounds. The patio by the outdoor swimming pool gave us respite from the busy road. On our walk in the garden a deer emerged from the trees to inspect us before melting... more

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week with Silvia at Villa Murray. After all the excellent reviews here we were expecting a lot, and we were not disappointed! Everything stated about Silvia's generous hospitality, the beautifully restored Villa (I want to live there!) and the peaceful country setting is true. Villa Murray is a beautiful gem set... more
