The Borgo Brufa is currently undergoing extensive development including the building of a 250-seat restaurant which may change the character of the hotel. However currently it is a fifteen-room hotel set on the top of a hill with a 270-degree horizon giving sweeping views of Perugia, Assisi and other Umbrian towns. From the saltwater infinity pool the view is divine.
The hotel is child-friendly and includes rooms with interconnecting doors. The rooms are rustic in style and not large, but perfectly comfortable with modern, clean and bright bathrooms.
Perugia and Assisi are a short distance away (if you don't get lost) and have excellent restaurants if you want to get away from the excellent cooking at the hotel itself. The restaurant manager is Sardinian and used to work in Michelin-star restaurants. The food is strictly regional Umbrian cooking - don't expect to get served bolognese.
