When myself and my boyfriend arrived here for a one night stay the winds were high and the waves were crashing hard against the cliffs - we laughed at the hotels marketing line "serenity by the sea" as it was far from serene all around us. However we left the Armada the following day feeling completely serene. I don't know... More

A welcome to be had when visiting the Armada hotel. Comfortable room with great view of the sea if you go for sea view room. Evening menu excellent however a delay in serving between courses spoilt the meal. Breakfast provided an excellent choice. Walks along the coast if you wish to clear the cobwebs. Overall, certainly will revisit. More

enjoyed a weekend with my husband last may in this hotel. Though there was no swimming pool ( a must for us when we stay in hotels usually) the beach was literally outside our bedroom! While we didn't venture into the sea, we loved the walks on the beach at midnight and early in the morning. Drives out to Quilty,... More

Had a 2night weekend break on my first ever visit to spanish point. Just want to make a few points - our room (104) was quite cold on our first night due to the fact that its L shaped room and the rad was on the internal wall inside the door and the beds were close the outer walls with... More

Room was cold, damp and draughty. The hotel seemed to have been thrown up during the boom time and the effects of the slowdown in the hotel industry are now noticeable with certain repair work not properly done. For example, towel rack was rusty in places, painting on doors amd skirting was sloppy and unprofessional. The general layout of the... More

This hotel could not possibly be a four star hotel by any standards! The decor was very old fashioned-in a bad way. The menu in the restaurant was extremely limited. The rooms were extremely dated. When we entered our room we were extremely disappointed so I immediately rang reception to ask about their boutique style room that I had booked....I... More

I have stayed at this gorgeous hotel a few times now and each time it gets better if that is possible. We stayed for a wedding in November in one of the Tranquilty Suites. Unbelieveable Suite, view fantastic and the staff are amazing here. From Breakfast to Lunch and dinner the food is top class. I would definitely recommend this... More

The Armada is a wonderful hotel. The location is spectacular - situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Spanish Point, literally within 100m of the waves! The welcome from staff and the owner was special and throughout our stay service was understated but warm and friendly. Food was really good and there was lots to do locally. A wonderful 9 hole... I stayed with some friends after Christmas as I had heard about the hotel and its location from people in the past. It really was the perfect choice. The room I had overlooked the sea and was spotless, spacious and very comfortable, great separate shower and the view was exceptional. The staff were friendly, lighthearted and fun and really made...
