I brought my girlfriend here on September 12th as a surprise for her birthday. Our short trip was a sequence of enjoyable experiences from start to finish. We had heard wonderful things about 'The Tannery' and expectations were high as a result. Needless to say, these were exceeded, particularly when it came to the food and wonderful buzz in the... more

Very pleasant stay at the Tannery. Received a warm welcome from Marie Flynn. Room in townhouse comfortable, very clean and simply decorated. Food and service in restaurant superb. Dungarvan isa nice town and there is plenty to do in surrounding areas, visit Youghal, Nire Valley etc. Overall a very positive experience in a well run establishment, good value and excellent... more

Recently spent 2 nights in the Tannery with 4 college friends (we took advantage of the €100 for dinner, bed and breakfast per night - brilliant value!!) The staff were really pleasant and efficient. Maire made an effort from the start to make us feel relaxed and welcome. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was lovely to have breakfast at our... more

Was given the night off from our own restaurant, so decided to head to dungarvan for the night, heard about the midwk special, BnB and 1 dinner for 100euros.. Thought it was great value, arrived for pre-dinner drinks, caiparinha's were great! Ordered our food down stairs, finished our cocktails, and was seated in the cheerful and pretty busy restaurant, all in... more

From start to finish, a wonderful stay and a great bargain - €100 dinner, B&B (no restrictions and including teas and coffees). Food fantastic (particularly the cashel blue ravioli with maple syrup!) in a lovely airy space. And some lovely touches – olives/nibbles in the room, magazines to read and home baked muffins. We stayed in three rooms – all... more

We had a wonderful time at the Townhouse/Restaurant, getting a fanastic deal (which in recessionary times is gratefully accepted!). Enjoyed our stay--modern house, and especially liked the communal areas which are funky in decoration & lighting, etc. Especially liked the books & magazines on offer in common areas with the "take a book, leave a book" policy. The room was... more

Our group were in town for the Sean Kelly 100km cycle. Being fond of our food and liking our comforts we availed of the Tannery's great offer of B&B and dinner for €100. Like most people, our stay was linked to a memorable meal in the Tannery restaurant but the town-house was perfect for our wedding anniversary. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our room, which had everything required ; comfortable ,spotless and tastefully decorated. The fresh fruit ,thick creamy natural yoghurt topped with seasonal berries, muesli and dried fruit and nuts were... more

Our rooms at the Tannery Townhouse were tastefully decorated however the hallway and stairs leading up to the rooms were almost industrial and not in a contemporary way, rather more in an old school style. Breakfast is in the room on arrival in a mini fridge which includes yogurt, fruit and juice. Later in the evening the 'pastry fairy' arrives... more

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor. I note your comments regarding our decor and in fact the Townhouse was part of the old Mercy Convent boarding school (where I went to school many years ago!). I agree that this is still evident on the stairs and many people especially Irish ladies find this quite nostalgic....
