Six friends from the Teignbridge Wine Society paid a visit in September. Very impressive property in the middle of the countryside. Exceptional service, food and wine. Spotlessley clean and very very quiet. Wonderful. Full marks to Alastair and Carol they are doing a great job. more

First things first ... don't use Google directions and don't use your Sat Nav ... use the directions from their website (www.devonwineschool.co.uk). As you can probably guess we used the former and spent a little time trying to find the accommodation. We soon found that the trip into The Devon Wine School, along the narrow, winding, Devon lanes was part of the charm of this facility. It's slightly 'Off the beaten track' location gave the peace and tranquility that is much sought after in order to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. We're a family of four with two boys and we drove from Brighton to Penzance in Cornwall. Looking for a place to stay and break up the journey we discovered the Devon Wine School (mentioned on Alistair Sawday's Places to Stay website), run by Alistair and Carol Peebles.
