I stayed at this old country house and although it was old and noisy I suppose that is to be expected, service was lacking as was the wifi signal, after one use of my key card it lost its memory apparently. Food was very expensive for what is was.. Also it was very noisy from the bar gone 11pm

I stayed again at the Grimstock for one night this month, and this was my second stay as I had also visited this time last year. This time I wasn't so impressed with the hotel, perhaps because in the past year I've visited other hotels of a better standard and price. I appreciate the old-fashioned country style of the hotel... I stayed at the Grimstock as part of a group of 14 while we were working at Crufts and I have nothing but praise for the hotel and its staff. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were always pleasant and very helpful. Even when we arrived back late after the kitchens were closed it was no problem for the night... More

A very pleasant hotel that is not like the chains of boring unfriendly places that becoming the norm. Good food and very well trained staff. Pleasant bar but could do better with the poor choice of beers. Rooms are traditional ,clean and adequate . Bathroom is ok but it is nearly time for refurbishment . Good television nod lighting in... A very pleasantly located hotel situated in a rustic setting with trees and shrubs and well tended lawns. Being very close to Birmingham and its attractions made it very convenient. The staff were obliging and interested in our visit and gave good advise and service throughout our stay. Our bedroom was comfortable clean and came with a large tv!! The... More

A great hotel in private ownership. Much better than one of the factory hotels. Food exceeds expectations by far. Staff are great. Rooms are simple and clean. It is a pleasure to come away on business and stay at the Grimstock. The owner is ever present in the foyer - a real life mine host. Thank you for continuing to... More

Enjoyed a birthday meal here which couldn't have been any better. Not only is the food first class but the staff offer customer service which rivals 5star restaurants. Everyone is genuinely friendly, polite and go above and beyond their roles. Have never received such consistent professional service with every member of staff we encountered for many years. What a pleasant... More

We needed a comfortable stopover for a family event and the Grimstock was a perfect choice for our visit. The friendly, welcoming team which runs this hotel make it really special. OK, the bathrooms are a bit 70's, but they were spotlessly clean and no problems with the shower. We arrived just as a wedding was about to take place... More

Hotel food was nice, breakfast was spot on. Rooms were very dated and the only thing going with the times was the tv. Location is not the best, you will need to drive but good location if your going to the nec. Service was acceptable.
