On the shores of Loch Arkaig, Ardechive is a striking highland location. Three properties are available for rental. The Cottage (sleeps 6) and House (sleeps 8) and The Kennels (sleep 5). All have been extensively refurbished to provide luxurious, self-catering accommodation. The historic town of Fort William is a 40 minute drive away, and Spean Bridge is even nearer for all the basic day-to-day necessities.

Brilliant. Great break away from the city. Fabulous self catering accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Everything you need to enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Atmosphere of the whole area is superb. Dogs very happy too🙂 Will return ASAP.

I have been visiting Achnacarry Estate for a decade now, staying at Ardechive on my last three. The location is superb and the accommodation likewise. Spotlessly clean, cosy and welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit, which is already booked. I have no hesitation in highly recommending.

We had 3 perfect nights always at Ardechive Cottage. It has everything you need, it's comfortable, stylish and in the perfect location for a "get away from it all" holiday. There is also lots to do and see around the area if you so wish but for us a relaxing break was what we needed. Loved it so much we are bringing the kids with us for a weeks holiday!! Highlight was seeing the red deer stags on the front of the house every day and the walks straight from the house!!

We stayed in the cottage, the smaller of the two properties. There were five of us, plus a fifteen-month little girl, who tore about, loving the space. Archedive is on Loch Arkaig and is very secluded and peaceful. The cottage is well-appointed - everything you need - and it was a very short walk to the loch, about 3 minutes, looking over the lovely, silent landscape. It's a lovely location.

I have recently spent the weekend at this fantastic holiday home. It is truly luxurious in every aspect. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need for self catering accommodation. The location is absolutely breathtaking as it is right on the loch and the scenery is amazing. An extra delight is seeing the stags coming down from the hill in the evening to the front of the house to feed. The owners are very helpful and communication is excellent. All in all, this is five star self-catering accommodation at its very best.

After 20 plus years of spring camping at Loch Arkaig we decided to upgrade to the Ardechive cottage last week, and what an upgrade it was. One evening at dinner I joked with my wife that I would not be returning for another stay here as there was no pizza cutter in the cutlery drawer, she responded "it's in the drawer below", this is the level detail the owners have applied to this property, it is equipped with everything you could ever wish for. And is extremely clean and well maintained. The cottage is also beautifully fitted out, sitting in the lounges very comfortable seating at dusk with the log burner on admiring the wooden floor, fireplace and stunning decoration truly makes you feel privileged. Did I mention the Red Deer grazing only 10 meters or so from the cottage, and the frequent fly pasts by the osprey? A truly magical experience. The rest of the cottage is extremely warm, surprisingly spacious, cozy and very homely, a perfect balance between sympathetic locational restoration and all mod cons. Outdoors there is extensive gardens and car parking, with a separate drying building. Loch Arkaig is a very special place to my family and I, however it just got more special having found Ardechive cottage, I don't think I am quite ready to retire my tent, however it will be difficult to drive past the cottage in the future so we will definitely be back.…

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ardechive, weather great with beautiful views over Loch Arkaig. House is well equipped, lovely and warm with lots of hot water, nicely decorated and very comfortable with all the finishing touches. Lovely place to stay we would highly recommend it. Peaceful and remote but within reach of an Asda delivery. Perfect for walking and cycling with picnics in the hills.

Stayed here in July/August for 1 week. Absolutely stunning location AND a tastefully decorated and beautifully maintained cottage. We all felt very much at home as soon as we arrived and loved the solitude and amazing views from the windows. Ardechive cottage is very well presented and has all the amenities you could possibly need - which is just as well as it is fairly remote! We appreciated the tea/ coffee and milk on arrival (11 hours travelling) but future guests need to be aware that there are no shops round the corner. Spean Bridge has a useful Spar and Fort William has a Morrisons/ Small Tesco. Someone mentioned Asda home deliveries and it may be useful if the owner could find out about this service for future guests. Although we stayed in the summer, we can imagine that the cottage would be perfect at any time of the year. Shame it was too warm outside to use the log burner! WiFi on a limited contract + our mobiles had no service here (there is a house phone with 'honesty box' for essential calls) but this is a 'get away' holiday home and a great place to retreat to - away from the hustle and bustle of City life. Highly recommend for families and friends + dog.…

100% Clean, perfectly cosy! This is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything and the place was immaculate. We loved it...could have spent the week in the cottage! Great location by the side of the loch with loads of walks and things to do....simply perfect.
