Gillian was a wonderful host for this B&B, very friendly and chatty.

The whole house is very tastefully decorated and our bed was super comfy. All furniture is handmade with British wood and it adds wonderful charm and quality.

Breakfast was another triumph, homemade perserves and all organic and free range produce. We were given the hugest plate of goodies that filled us up until late afternoon!

The price is £30 pppn, which is exceptional value. We will definately return and heartily recommend! more

Oh wow! We booked this directly from the website when our first choice had no availability. Am I glad that place was full. The Mehalah is quite simply one of the best B&Bs we've ever been to!
If you want contemporary/modern go to a Travelodge, but if you want a home from home look no further. The decor won't be to everybody's taste that's for sure - heck, it isn't even my taste, a bit too personal, a bit too cluttered? My wife disagrees with me here - there's a first. But wow (sorry, I've said it again), the atmosphere and the friendliness of Gillian, the host, and the environment, and the... the whole ambience of the place simply make it a MUST for future trips to Scotland.
Spean Bridge itself is a great base for any activity, and the Mehalah is perched right on the wild wonderful edge of the village.
I said earlier the house is a bit cluttered, but immaculately clean. Many of the trinkets are personal treasures of Gillian's, such is the trust this wonderful lady... more
