This was an absolutely lovely Bed & Breakfast (they also serve dinner if you want it). It has a view that is unparalleled by other guesthouses on the Isle of Skye. We stayed at Carters rest for a two night stay, just a few days ago. Maybe "experience" would be a more appropriate word, rather than "stay". All you can read in the previous reviews is totally confirmed: the location is stunning, with walks to heavenly places like Neist Point. We stayed 2 nights in September 2009. The rural setting is beautiful and relaxing. We had a comfortable room, thick and ample towels, changed daily! The walk to the water was a great way to stretch our legs following our journey from Inverness. Dinner was good as was breakfast. Carters rest is an excellent high quality guest house in a lovely, remote location. The hosts were very friendly. The evening meal was amazing, best chicken soup we've ever had. I have stayed in a number of B&Bs and hotels over the years, but I can honestly say that this is up there with the very best of them. The accommodation is clean, spacious and well designed.
