This is a classic medieval house and you can stay in it. If you have the slightest interest in history you will love this place. The sitting room is a medieval hall (no I'm not kidding) albeit with more modern side fireplaces put in. But if you shut your eyes you could see the central hearth and the knights and... more

Plas Llanmihangel greatly exceeded our expectations. The hosts, Dave & Sue, welcomed us into their home as if we were long-lost friends. We were given an entire wing of the manor house for our family of five. We even had our own sitting room. I felt as if I should be wearing an elegant gown while drinking my tea, rather... more

When I was planning our trip away Plas Llanmihangel immediately took my eye. The character and ambience of it looked great - we were not disappointed. On arriving from the Cowbridge direction we had a little difficulty finding the entrance. We carried on down the lane until we saw the church ahead of us and as we looked to our... more

We had our wedding here on April 4th of this year and I really couldn't have asked for a better day. From the moment my husband and I stepped into the house we decided we wanted our reception held there. That was even before we met Sue and David Beer, the owners of the house. Their friendly manner made planning... more

Fabulous place with lovely hosts. We had an entire wing to ourselves with a choice of rooms. We chose the family room which had loads of space and was in the top of the house. I would love to be a child again as this would be an adventure as it has so many little nooks and crannies. Beautifully restored.... more

we stayed last weekend, following a recommendation from a friend. She was right, its a fantastic old house, with so much character, its like staying in a museum! Imagine visiting a stately home, and wishing you could stay, walking around imagining the past, and pretending your part of it. Its a family home, that lends itself beautifully to the past... more

We stayed at this beautiful home for 2 nights. The house is just outstanding. A real 'gem' with an 11th century church opposite. The owners simply oozed love and warmth. Nothing was too much trouble for them! The effort that Sue put in to make sure we had a memorable time was enormous. The food was wonderful - We have... more

We were a party of eight - celebrating my Husband's 40th Birthday at Plas Llanmihangel. Six of us were returners to this ancient, beautiful family home. We were treated like family, made incredibly comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Sue cooked a wounderful three course evening meal which we ate at the large table in the dining hall. As... more

it was a nice place - just ashame the owner was very rude to my fiancee - i think because we were young, which spoilt the experience for us. more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. The nice thing about the location is that it's remote. It was quite and very relaxing. David and Susan are outstanding hosts and give you an excellent value for your money. We got an entire wing of the castle to ourselves. It's a wonderful novelty and a very... more
