Beautiful hotel and clean rooms! I stayed two nights and took pictures all around the hotel, it is fully featured by Malaysia culture and good for photographing. Even my parents felt comfortable and cheerful for the two-day stay. It is really nice memory to see the water lights under the floor in a morning, just like dreaming.... The only thing... more

Despite the atmosphere not being particularly tourist-friendly in Semporna, Dragon Inn was reasonably priced and the room was one of the best I've stayed in in Borneo. Dragon Inn is wooden huts built on stilts over the water in the harbour area. This isn't as nice as it sounds because Semporna isn't the most idyllic of places. However the actual... more

We stayed at the Dragon Inn mainly because it was the nearest to the jetty fromo returning from a boat from the islands. The place is generally a bit weird, makes itself out to be a bit of a 'resort' but really it is just a shanty shack hotel...the room was like a wooden box prison, no natural light unless... more

Looks lovely from the outside - built on stilts over the sea - and has great internet facilities. The lounge/communal area is quite nice with comfy couches where you can speak to other travellers. Unfortunately however, like the rest of Semporna, it is rat infested (we had 2 rats in our room when we came back from dinner), and we... more

This place is really bad- would not advise staying here unless you plan on sleeping with rats, bed-bugs and roaches. If possible look for alternative accomadation in Semporna. The concept is nice- houses on stilts over the ocean and some rooms have a nice view. Unfortunately, the sea around Semporna is not clean, so think carefully about what you want... more

I'm not going to comment on the room so much because I think the inn had its own uniqueness which some people might find pleasant while others not. For those who who pay RM88 or RM66 per night and expected to see a modern and comfy room with tiles, cable tv and chandelier.. they'll be disappointed. But for those who... more

They had a free room for us, although it was a busy season. Rooms are big, but dark, the window goes straight to outside walkaway, where other people walk to their rooms, so you can't have it open. Bathroom is basic. I washed some t-shirts, but they did not dry at all, because of the humidity and no fresh air.... more

Walk in RM 66 or RM 88 per night with "light breakfast" of coffee & toast included. Stayed 5 nights. RM 66 bought us a room in block D which we felt was larger and nicer than the "deluxe" (cable TV) RM 88 a night room. In block D we had a king size bed. The rooms are dark and... more

In a word dreadful. This resort was touted as at pleasant place to spend a night before going out to the island however I disagree. We chose, thank goodness, to stay in a chalet room so at least we were further away from the main area and had a little space. Unfortunately even these rooms were dark and dreary inside... more

We travelled to Borneo for a combined diving and jungle sightseeing vacaition. As such Semporna is the pit stop before you get out to the star locations of Kapalai,Sipadan and Mabul. We booked our trip through a dive operator in Sweden and Scuba Junkies was our dive operator in Borneo. They picked us up from the airport at Tawau and... more
