Stayed at Royal Bay hotel mid Sept. 09 as a solo traveller and had a terrible time - hardly anyone spoke to me and I was lonely. After catching a golf-buggy at 1am in the pouring rain to get to the 'royal bay' (nothing royal about this hotel as we found out soon enough!), we were in high spirits - the room was clean and had a beautiful view over the bay.. My Husband, Daugher and myself went with friends. We were not disappointed with the Hotel at all. We had a a lovely room over looking the sea, the maid cleaned the room daily and we had fresh towels every day and beds changed 3 times a week, if you tip the staff they look after you.
