Our car broke down in Langres France, and the rental company dropped us off at this "hotel" at 10 p.m. while a new rental car was brought in from Paris. It was without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The rooms were tiny, smelled of exhaust, with a couple of very thin towels in the bathroom. Speaking of which, the bathroom was so small when you got out of the shower, you had to step over the toilet. What's more a day later, we were covered with bed bug bites. The most frustrating part is that without a car, we were stuck for the night. So traveler beware on his one. We laugh about it now, but know you are better off sleeping in your car, than spending a night at the Marmotte. more
