We spent 2weeks in 2012 at this wonderful place,the apartment is clean, really close to the beach, without stairs, easy access with buggy. Cheap apartments providing all basics, kettle, toaster, hob and a selection of crockery/cutlery. NIce touch is basket of matches, tea, coffee, bottled water etc. Our apartment was right by the pool with a terrace to eat on. Pool cold at beginning of March. Only a few minutes walk from supermarkets and beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Also comfy beds.

...But if you insist on going to Puerto Rico anyway, Sirena Apartments is as good an option as anyway, especially if you have children as it's really secure and has a nice pool. There are buses out of the town regularly....and planes...
