Just back from Monteverde. I go there every year and never had a problem. The complex is small only 20 apartments, small pool, no bar or restaurant, but that’s not too bad if you want to be away from the noise. i booked a holiday for 6 people 3 adults and 3 childre and was given 4 single bed and 2 travel cots.very in appropiate, towels were waste of time as they didnt dry us sheets were smelly in fact appartment was smelly, one nitea rat was in my toilet and the staff took it away with a piece of tisue... more

Just back from puerto rico - FYI keep away from the shopping centre! It's a dump!! Monte Verde, what can i say.... not a lot! You wouldn't dip your toe in the swimming pool, not sure if they wash the towels or sheets, hot water runs out after two mins, good location but very dingey. Spent most of the time... more

just back from puerto rico..stayed in monteverde and had an unreal holiday..the apartments were lovely..the balcony was one of the biggest ive had on holidays.apartments are basic(as are most in puerto rico) but are clean+have everything you need while there. its location is perfect,half way between the beach and the commercial centre!perfect for both a relaxing holiday+a young mad holiday!!... more

we stayed here in march 2008 great location 10 mins from the main shopping center.We found the apartments clean and the staff were very friendly and helpfull.Unfortunatly we were on the bottom floor so the balcony was tiny not big enough to have two loungers together and the pool was freezing as its not heated during the winnter.Movie channell showing... more

i stayed here at the start of june the weather was just getting nice and toasty!!! i went with my friend, along my 4 year old daughter the only problem we had was cockroaches... the first night we got there i was awake all night as there was one in the bedroom and none of us would go in there!!... more

Stayed here for a week last april complex is very small pool far too small no real reception or shop and no bar or restaurant.But apartments are lovely and spacious and balcony is huge with comfortable loungers. All in all you get what you pay for. more

Monte Verde is a small apartment complex. Is is situated a 5 minute walk from the main comercial centre in Puerto Rico, however it is up a steep hill. The apartments are quite nice, small though.
