I also stayed at this hotel when the Muse concert was taking place. Our check-in was handled by the hotel owner who was efficient, pleasant and chatty. He told us that there may be access problems in certain areas, and we accepted this (after all if a wedding was taking place we would be excluded from that wouldn't we?) All... more

We received a warm welcome to the Bay Hotel and were shown to our rooms which were both well fitted out with good quality furniture, pleasing colour schemes and comfortable beds. Bathrooms a bit on the small side but everything there that there should be. Views from rooms really good. Dinner in evening very good, not fine dining but good... more

We stayed at The Bay Hotel for 2 nights. When I called The Bay Hotel the lady I spoke to was so helpful & her telephone manor was that of great interest & enthusiasm. A double room was booked. We stopped in room 10. This was a little on the small side but cozy, great size bathroom, a built in... more

The hotel was ok All the staff were very nice with the exeption of one the owner As a guest I was informed that I would have to keep out of the bar as there was a private party and drink in the TV lounge Even though this did not happen it really put me out The responce for me... more

I think it was unfortunate that we stayed at the time of the MUSE concert. The general opinion of the group was that the proprieter of the establishment seemed to be bending over backwards for the Muse people that were staying at the hotel and they rest of us were only there to make up the numbers, especially when one Mr.Chris... more

The hotel restaurant leaves much to be desired unfortunately, I would not eat in the restaurant again apart from breakfast which anyone could do blindfolded. When I was there there were no bar snacks apart from crisps. This lets a very good hotel down but that said the hotel itself is very clean and very friendly with excellent staff and... more

On a holiday where we stayed at several good hotels in Cornwall, we ended by staying here on the way back to Reading since Dawlish and Teignmouth always looks so pretty when going past by train. Whilst both towns were sweet enough and had some good pubs (and a couple of stinkers), we will need to find some other things... more

Booked this hotel on the internet, and we got lucky ! Only stopped for two nights but could have stayed longer. Double room had a great sea view and was well furnished. Bathroom was modern and, more importantly, clean. The hotel has a friendly charm about it, and that has a lot to do with the staff. Nothing seemed to... more

We were so pleased to come across this little gem of a hotel. The staff were delightful, as were the owners, and the location is simply stunning - right on the sea front with views miles along the coast, and only a short level walk from the train station. We stayed in the Bay View Suite - very comfortable with... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We took a clean top-floor non- sea view room at a price of £80 per night and were delighted to have a lovely view of the river estuary. The staff we encountered at this hotel were all young (with the exception of the owner) and very helpful. Breakfast was served in the... more
