Where to start? Arrived on the Friday evening, to see 3 cars all waiting for a space. We were all staying at the hotel but couldn't get a space as the spaces were all taken by people boozing in the pub. Just poor organisation. Checked in for two nights as I was attending a wedding nearby on the Sat. Saturday... more

The bathroom was small with a very small door into the shower. We booked a shower only room expecting to get a large shower space. It was dirty and mouldy around the tiles. The main bedroom was the same standard of cleaness as the bathroom. The curtains were hanging of the hooks, there was a lot of dust in spaces... more

Just returned from a 2 night break at the White Hart. The hotel was fine and I would happily return. However, it did rather feel that the restaurant staff were untrained and/or disorganised (although always charming). At dinner, the wine arrived after the starters, no brown bread was available and the white bread was very dull, we had a 20... more

Lovely village, hotel looked good from the outside and bar area was indeed quite nice. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. The pub chain web site shows the best rooms and then only 2/3 of them. The standard rooms (and we say rooms as there were 4 of us in 2 rooms) were not at all good. Don't know where to... more

Its a nice hotel with great staff, i stayed there on a business trip and it was impressed with the hotel, i would agree on other reports about the bathrooms but they are clean. I stayed in the hotel for an xmas party and the food was great and so was the service. The village is fabtastic and is a... more

Just got back from a two night stay at this delightful hotel in a charming village. Can't understand why some of the previous gradings for this site are low. We had a perfectly ample room and everything was clean and well-looked after. The bathroom was a bit tired decor-wise but that's part of the charm in such an old building.... more

Our executive room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom, however, was very poor - black mouldy sealant around the bath and broken radiator valves is not what is expected in a room costing over £100 per night. Breakfast was good and service in the hotel excellent. Whilst appreciating that an old building takes a lot of upkeep little... more

I was very disappointing to arrive in a cave like room on my recent stay here. It was tiny, dark and drab. Even after putting all the lights on the room, it still felt sitting I was in a dingy pub. The view from the tiny, paint flaking window was of the kitchen entrance, not of the hotels villiage surroundings.... more
