we stayed here for a friend's wedding and only paid £39 for the first night and £29 for the second. the hotel was difficult to find and the rooms are very basic but clean. you do have to pay an extra £10 if you want to check in before 3pm - they really mean it too! you cant even leave... more

I paid £19 to stay one night at this hotel, before heading off on a weekend break from nearby Stansted. The hotel is ok once you find it, the room was certainly larger than I'm used to at Travelodge. The two downsides are 1) It is very hard to find the entrance by car - it took two attempts circling... more

Our one-night midweek stay was fine, and reasonable value for the location relatively close to London. Clean and adequate modern room, but Travelodge seem to have long abandoned their proud boast of providing top class beds. Breakfast was another story. Overpriced, to make the room tarifs look better value, it was a perfunctory and rather insulting affair. The usual pre-packaged... more

The hotel is situated smack bang on the A10, so nothing is in walking distance. If you are planning to use this as a base to visit London then a taxi ride to a nearby station will cost you anything from 8 to 10 pounds. The rooms are hot and stuffy, although they are clean and well presented they were not... more

Another filming trip proved to be slightly more turbulent than the last, as I didn't even get to directly book my accomodation this time, and instead left it in the apparently capable hands of the production company. Jesus Christ, they cant book even if they were to be paid in the form of an Arabian palace, complete with camels. Both... more

I have stayed at this Hotel twice and like some of the other reviews, I have had mixed experiences. Getting to the hotel can be a pain. It can only be got to with a car, but if I had to stop here on a regular basis, I would find the dual carriage way infruriating as you need to use... more

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Got a room on the 4. floor to the back, overlooking the car park. Room was clean - not fantastic, rather with stains on the pull out sofa bed. Mirror in the room was missing only an empty wooden bit on the wall. Linen was not changed once while we were there,... more

I have stayed here twice now in the past month and have had both positive and negative experiences. Firstly the hotel can be noisy from both cars on the A10, rowdy people in car park (boy racers with their boom boom) and guests retuning from nights out! Weekday, much better noise wise - more business users i guess? On second... more

I've stayed at plenty of Travelodges around the UK and this was one of, if not the, cleanest. OK , from reading other reviews it seems that it's not yet a year old but I was still impressed. I couldn't get the alarm to work on the flat screen televison and I forgot to ask at reception if it was... more

Basic facilities but rooms clean and comfortable with helpful staff. On a main road, but our room at the rear was quiet. Overall would recommend the hotel, but not the bar/cafe. We paid £7 for a small plate of microwaved spaghetti with a small dollop of 'bolognese' sauce on top. One of our party ordered a lasagne which arrived frozen... more
