This business is near my office and over the last few months we have been to The Squirrel quite frequently and compared to many pubs in the area the food is not only really good but the service fast and friendly. Recently had a meeting with a client here and we both agreed that the choice of pub grub was... More

There has been very mixed reviews for The Squirrel Inn but this is what I think. The staff at this place are fantastic. The new landlord (Paul) is a very friendly caring bloke who cares for his staff, customers and residents alike. Paul ensures that he goes out of the way to keep everybody happy. 99% of the time he... We spent 3 nights in the cottages for my sons wedding, if the hotel had not been so handy for the wedding reception close by we would have moved. "Recently refurbished" it claims on the web site. Well that would have been about 1980 judging by the state of the place.Dirty carpets, cracked sanitary ware, rotting wooden windows. our "en... More

Stayed on business for 1 night in a single room with separate, private bathroom. The pub is just off the A3 and is very picturesque with a pleasant beer garden. The rooms are in a converted row of tiny cottages adjacent to the pub's main building. My room was on the ground floor at the end of the row just... More

We had a one night stay for B & B at the Squirrel Inn in May 2012, and I have to say that I am ever so glad that it was for one night only. Everything was reasonable until it came time for breakfast which consisted of yoghurt, cereals, toast and cakes. Drinks consisted of fruit juice, tea and coffee... More

Easy to find off the A3, this hidden gem of a pub and restaurant has 8 cottage style rooms. Rooms are compact but very clean and have all you need for a short stay in the area. Restaurant serves great food and a selection of real ales. Free wifi in the bar. Plenty of parking. Will definitely stay here again... More

The Pub itself offers a very good range of wines. Bloody Mary's are excellent. The entire menu is delicious & good value for money. These are some of the best starters I have had, without exception. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are all fine, comfortable and quiet. This is not the four seasons, but you... More

I travel and stay out on business and get my accommodation paid on expenses so feel I can be objective in my reviews. Accommodation was a converted cottage and the room was compact. It was cool a chilly when I visited and this was also felt in the room which had electric heaters. Bathroom consisted of a shower, small sink... More
