Under the previous Manager - Mr Hannah, the hotel was a truly wonderful place, where you were treated with respect. The staff were courteous and polite, the rooms clean, tidy, functional and the food truly amazing - who remembers the "Sweet Trolley"?. Now - under new owners - the silence of the place is runied by cheap "Lift Music" endlessly... more

In response to this review from Traveller-A099 (“TA”), we would respectfully point out that we have not, in fact, increased either the room rates or dinner prices since we took over the hotel in January 2008. The room rate now, as then, is from £169.00 bed/breakfast (for a Standard Double/Twin room), with special midweek DBB and Short Break offers running...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and loved it. The staff was so welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. We had a canopy bed suite overlooking beautiful gardens. I would stay here again. Everything was perfect. It is out of the way but well worth the drive. The setting is beautiful. more

Fabulous! I have been to Kildrummy Castle Hotel (all the way from Texas) five (5) times and I plan to return in June 2010. It is truly a magical place. It is beautiful, serene and the staff is exceptional. The dining is a true culinary experience and I have never been disappointed in any way. Suzanne Mitchell more

Lovely place with beautiful surroundings. Excellent service. Delicious food at restaurant. Confortable bedroom. Very cosy inside. But not good value for money, as they ask about 200 pounds to spend a night...so it leaves a bitter taste when it's about checking out, but apart from that, yes it is a very good hotel. We are slightly puzzled as regards her comment about not being value for money. The bed/breakfast room rate for 'Honeybarrel' (Standard Double room with balcony overlooking the old castle) was£169/room, with a one-year-old child accommodated free of charge. This rate...

If you're travelling on scottish east coast, you may spend one night in this wonderful old building. Room are nice and big, dinner was excellent (and so breakfast) and people very nice. You may see squirrels in the garden. more

After a rainy, foggy drive through the Grampian Mountains, my husband and I arrived with our teenaged daughter at the Kildrummy Castle Hotel. Great location and Great place with Attentive Staff. I loved it so much that I am returning to host my son's 21st Birthday Lunch for all his god-parents and his friends as he is a student at Aberdeen Unversity and we are holding it in The Great Room in front of a blazing log fire. Perfect. more

Stayed 1 night at the KCH. Almost a mini-castle unto itself. Loved the feel of the place, surrounded by fantastic gardens and with a wonderful view of the ruins of Kildrummy Castle right next door.
