We stayed at the guest house on the estate, wonderful flowers and trails around the estate leading to the beach and more. The Guest house itself is very original and historic seeming, could've been a great semi rustic stay but there were fleas in the bed, and the sheets and pillows smelled of mildew which was visible on the decorative pillows. Some simple updating could fix the problems and make it one of the better stays available on the island.
Upon discovering that it was fleas biting us we informed the caretaker and moved. He says he can't find the fleas, I told him to sleep in the bed and they would find him, however he insists it was food allergies or flying ants or such and charged us for a 7 day stay when we were only there for one flea-bitten get no sleep night. I know what a flea is and i know what i kept smacking and catching between my fingers to kill as I tried to sleep.
Take your chances if he fixes the flea or mildew problem. other than that it was a rustic... more
