The room was nice for the price but we didn't sleep very well due to car alarms going off all night, window washing or something that was splashing water on our windows in the early morning. All noise in the hallway was easily heard in our room, talking, rolling suitcases, doors closing and music from the outside venue. The location... more

I was on a business and leasure trp and Hotel Platino served as a great Inn. The hotel is wonderful if you look for a bed and breakfast type of place. Restaurants are right outside of the hotel. I highly suggest El Carrito de Marchena for delicious and inexpensive cultural food like sancocho, steak, goat or "chivo guisado" and azopado... more

Stayed one night, price was about 65 dollars. Room was Ok, nothing special. Air Conditioning worked good. Had internet in the room, if I remember correctly it was wifi, included in the room rate. Room had a refrigerator and a small counter with a sink. Across the street from this hotel is a large university. Up the block from this... more

Nice business class hotel, located across from the University in a small shopping plaza. The room was clean and nicely appointed, with an electronic safe. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a large selection of minibar items, but it was not clear what items were complimentary and which were a la carte. Room service was decent, and the... more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in March 2008 for 1 night and I can say that I couldn't wait until morning to get out. The rooms are TINY but it was the "Executive Suite" and smelled horrible. The A/C didn't cool at all. I had to get up twice to take a shower because I couldn't sleep... more

It was hard to find a good and not too expensive hotel in Santiago in a good location. We found Platinum a while ago and stay there often when we go to Santiago. The rooms are quite nicely furnished, very clean, with A/C, cable TV, Internet, and a mini-bar. You'll find shampoo and conditionner in the bathroom as well as... more

I stayed in 5 hotels in the Dominican Republic. This was definitely the worst. The room smelled bad, no hot water and it's far from where everything is happening. Only one staff member spoke English. Go with Aloha Sol instead. It was the same price and I saved a lot on taxi cabs. more

simple yet elegant hotel with very caring staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable at an affordable rate! Restaurant next to hotel had excellant authentic food and service. You certainly get more than what you would expect from this hotel/restaurant. We will definitely stay here again. more
