My family of 4, age 10 and 9, and my mother, age 52, stayed there 3 nights after spending time visiting family. It wasn't hard to find, the owner gave us very good directions. The owner, Beverly, is very nice, even wrote a sign and put in on the door to our room welcoming us and gave us beach towels. However, since this hotel is on the outskirts of the rainforest, El Yunque, the rooms were very damp. ( I have problems with allergies, so I'm extremely sensitive)
I felt renovations are needed, like painting and yardwork. The plants are overgrown. My mom found 3 small cockroaches during her stay, we saw one in our room. Both rooms had a kitchenette but I didn't feel comfortable using the pans and stove. The one thing I did enjoy was sleeping to the sound of the coquis and other frogs. El Yunque was close by, Luquillo Beach ( a must!) not far away. If you want to visit San Juan from there is about 45 minutes depending on the traffic.
