First of all the actual rooms are not even close to 1 % of the pictures shown. AC doesn't work though they charge you separately for AC. This is not MTDC hotel but it's MTDC approved. Stayed at the resort for a couple of days during Holi vacation in March. The resort is located right on the beach - about 7 km from Malvan on the way to Devbag. One can reach the resort from Kudal station by auto (Rs. 500; 60 mins) or bus (75 mins). There are buses every 45 mins from Malvan too... More

Perhaps the best MTDC property across state, scores big on location and resort maintenance (being realistic... its sarkari). The resort is about 7 kms from Malvan bus stop and 40 kms from Tarkarli railway station. It is right on the beach and has a decent restaurant. We visited with family, senior citizens and kids. The location of the MTDC resort is perfect, with the rooms located bang on the beach. We stayed in the bamboo houses. The rooms are dated and in need of re-decoration and updating, which is ongoing. Yet the beds were very comfortable, airconditioning was working and hot water was available in bathrooms.... More

If you are booked at mtdc you might want to travel a little heavy. The rooms arent that great after all.
