the grounds and room were good , it was quiet ,,not busy at all ,the only thing with having a door to make adjoining room it was not soundproof enough you could here the person in the next room talking on his phone ,,coughing and their tv ,,and got woken up at 6.15am with their alarm going off , i find it very strange that they put a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee saying the kettle is there if you want a noodle pot ,, even though you could go to the reception area for tea and coffee ,, i like a cup of tea when i wake up and not having to get dressed to walk to reception ,, our hot water to the shower never worked but someone did come promptly and rectified the problem ,, there was no instruction on how to use the tv so someone had to come and show us ,,our room was made up the second day ,, butb we had to call for towels they never left us any ,, the preorder breakfast was not a problem ,, i was pleased to get fried eggs with soft yolks ,,, all in all the breakfast was really nice ,, but you have to order orange juice if you want it,, i didnt realise the first day ,,, the staff are all very polite and helpful ,,the grounds are keep up together very well ,, so all in all we had a pleasant stay there but with a few hiccups

In the shadow of Khao Yai lies this beautiful European styled resort set in earthly tones that glows golden in the cast of the morning sun. Alongside is a large parcel of garden landscape for that cool morning walk taking in plentiful breaths of fresh mountain air. Bicycles are available for guest, and there is also a sizable swimming pool for beating the afternoon heat in the hotter months. Every day, between 8 to 11 am, the rabbits were moved from their sheltered pens into a play area where guest can cuddle, feed and play with them. All the fur balls were very well taken care of, and we were only allowed to feed them proper branded rabbit snacks we bought from the reception. Although they were expensive, we were happy to purchase knowing that these rabbits were not just show toys for play (many other places with rabbits simply treat them like disposable commodities, sadly). There were also the short fully chickens let loose to roam, and either they be chasing children, or the children be chasing them. There were also parrots in their large cage and a deer to be found in the garden. December, most popular resorts will likely be fully booked. We were lucky to be able to get The Cottage here. It is the only “villa” they have and is located far away from the main building. It is very isolated and private. Externally, it looks like a fairytale cottage with her own front plot of a lovely garden complete with a swing. Interior wise, it is minimalistic with a very basic set of furniture suffice for a stay. The other units in the main block are trendier according to pictures we had seen. The toilet is downright plain simple, and the water heater was not working well. When we tried to ask for extra pillow for our child, we were asked to pay THB 80…. not too happy about it. For everything that is so basic but having to pay premium because it was the peak end of the year period, was a difficult pill to swallow. But if you check the prices during the normal period, this resort is considered very affordable and worthwhile. The very basic breakfast was included in our package. It was ordering a meal off an ala-carte menu plus self-served toast and coffee. During our stay, the morning was exceptionally cold. That made our stay very remarkable as it was like waking up in a foreign country. With wide open spaces, our child was everywhere up down left right and center making new friends with the other kids here. What a good way to end the year, just chilling it out in Khao Yai.

Very quiet place set. Barely a resort but set in nice gardens. A bit out of the way (45mins drive to the Khao Yai visitor centre) which probably explains why for 2 of our 4 nights we were the only guests. Staff quite attentive and got the shower fixed to deliver hot water by our third night. Fixed breakfast menu of 3 Asian choices and and American which was not bad.

This is an Italian style small resort with lovely decoration and green lawns where various kinds of small pets such as rabbit and duck are roaming. It is a good place for those who looking for a quiet place. The resort is far away from the center of Khao Yai National Park (Thanarat road) and attractions so you need private transportation to get in and out.

If you wish to visit Khao Yai, you need you own transport as each attractive spot is quite far away and there is no public transportation to service you. There are parking lots in front of the reception & restaurant, the staffs are friendly and helpful. There a green field that has animals like rabbit, deers, ducks and parrots; you can buy food to feed them at reception. The room size is ok come with big bathroom but there is no bath tub and no hot water; that quite bad as here the temperature is chill for all year. Inside the room has tiny closet with safety box inside it, the complimentary 2 bottles of water, complimentary coffee & tea and kattle, a set of minibar, TV & cable tv that never work, free WiFi. Inside the bathroom has basic amenities set like; Qtip, soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion but no toothbrush & toothpaste, no bath tip but only rain shower.. and most important thing no hot water. We stayed here for 1 night so it not big issue for us but if you plan to stay longer; it might be boring as it has nothing to do.

We booked 3 rooms which are nice decorated and sofr beds. bathroom is good with glass but I think the water pressure was a bit low. One of our room had some problem with door knob which could not been fixed at night, so they upgrade one of us to the bigger room, thank you for the kind staff. Lovely rabbits were running around the resort area. Breakfast was average with Thai and western dishes. Thanks the friendly staffs for taking cate of us.

Friendly staff but speak no English I used google translate. I tried to tell them we were vegan and the three breakfast options 1) Thai breakfast with rice, tea and coffee 2) American breakfast 3) eggs and toast. There was no fruit on the menu. The staff in the end brought me a small portion of melon and two pieces of cheap white bread toast. For a 4 1/2 star the breakfast options are dreadful, no self service. The room is clean, its okay, although we had a cold shower both times as it didn't heat up. Beds very hard. Pool small but the ground were lovely with rabbits and geese walking freely. I didn't like the deer cramped up in a small caged area in the middle of the grass areas. It was nice to wake up to fresh air and seeing grass.

Was visiting with family and chose this place expecting it's rather high prices to be some sort of an indication of quality. As it stands, it is quite nicely designed and well-kept outdoors. The problems or issues start inside. Beds are rock hard and squeak so loud that we had to place the mattress on the floor for amorous moments since we didn't want upset my mother-in-law next room (there was a door access between the rooms). Food was average and small portions were hugely overpriced. For small lunch and later dinner with some cheap wine it totaled 6000 Baht. Wine was 1200. I got some chicken leg and very small pot of Tom Yam. i would pay about 200-250 for a better meal somewhere in decent Thai restaurant. Now it was closer to 800 Baht. I was not happy. Also the images that we saw on ad were displaying some swimming pool so I kind of was expecting to enjoy a swim just to be disappointed that the "pool" was not large enough for any kind of swim activity. The place would have real potential if the beds and everything would level with their pricing. And a tip to the owner...the food doesn't need to be fancy concoction of wannabe hi-so cooking...real fresh food with big portion size would be quite enough. No big pool, over prized food, high season four star room prices... Before these two are sorted out, I can not recommend. Oh...and the wifi was veeeeery slow...

This resort ,many kilometres north of Bangkok,is in the middle of nowhere. The grounds consist of a large area of lawns and trees occupied by many tame rabbits and geese.the rooms are spacious and comfortable, although some people might not like small geckos running around the ceiling although I wasn't bothered. The whole resort is stunning and backs on to woodland and national park land.Wasn't impressed by a small pen containing three deer.Much too small for big animals and with all the land available, not necessary. The brochure shows a spacious swimming pool which is in fact quite tiny. Also a mistake with so much space available.

This little resort only features 15 rooms and it could have been so much better managed. It has a lot going for it-- lovely grounds, lots of free-roaming animals (which kids will love but watch out for the ducks -- they will attack) and tranquil mountain views. For what you pay (four star plus prices), the room is not a great value. Furnishings are from ikea, sofa is vinyl and uncomfortable, bath amenities are cheap and there is no hot water in some sinks and showers. We had an outdoor bath on the balcony but it's totally exposed and impractical. Staff are friendly but inefficient and not thrilled to step outside of their prescribed roles. Food is so-so and not very fresh. This could have been better, given the resort's proximity to farms. There is not much to do in the resort other than walk around and feed the animals (in addition to ducks, there are bunnies, chickens, deer, exotic birds and fish), and there has been little effort on this front. Bikes are broken down and badly maintained. The pool area is not ideal for lazing around as it's tiny and not clean. The resort is about a half hour drive from Khao Yai National Park. It's good for a quiet weekend away, with a day trip to the national park, but if you stay longer, you'd be bored silly and ready to strangle one of those aggressive ducks.
