Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

You like adventure, sleeping in a nice, quiet area with trees around, great swimming pool with waterfall. Big rooms with aircon, terrace. Ok the hotel is a bit older then others but deserves a good review in my opinion. Friendly and helpfull staff. Very cheap. Biker friendly. We'll be back!

We stayed here for a few days in january 2020. Had a bit of a problem finding the place; the sign had fallen down, and the letters had fallen off the sign. This place isn't anything close to the photos used in the marketing. Our room had bugs and cockroaches, and the bathroom was the dirtiest i've ever seen. One day while showering, a worm was climbing the shower wall. Yes, I have photos (but the cockroaches were to fast). The air-con was a big noisy pre-war(?) machinery with no cooling. This is a worn down, filthy dump. And shame on Booking.com for promoting this place as decent accommodation. We will not use this site again. Tip: Look for accommodation in the Mu Si/Palio Khaoyai area (closer to restaurants, the national park and other landmarks.

On arrival no bar or restaurant facilities, never opened for our two night stay. Thank goodness there was a PTT petrol station next door with a 7 Eleven store where we could buy toasted sandwiches and snacks. We were shown to our room which was large, dark as the shutters were fixed in the closed position, the lighting was dim, mirrors dirty, at least 15 cockroaches running around the bedroom and shower room, very noisy air con, ceiling fan did not work, shower was dirty and the wash basin not fixed to the wall. Tried to complain but the staff appeared not to understand. The whole place needs complete refurbishment . This is the worst place I have ever stayed.

This is a modest but comfortable spot with a lovely outdoor landscaped pool area. Our hosts were helpful in organizing a full-day tour of the National Forest, guided by a knowledgeable and charming local ranger, with dedicated attention to our safety and comfort. Although the restaurant was closed during our stay, we were able to get good coffee and snacks right next door, and walk to a couple of nearby restaurants. A western-style breakfast was served nicely in the otherwise unused restaurant, and cold beers and other beverages were available for purchase at the front desk. The only drawback was the leaky plumbing under our bathroom sink, which made that space damp and humid (anyone with a mold allergy might need to request a pre-booking sound plumbing guarantee). The shower was strong and hot. The well calibrated air-conditioning and good clean furnishings ensured our overall comfort. I'd definitely stay again.

We are budget travellers with 2 kids under 6. My top 2 criteria is location and price. Since we only sleep at the hotel, I expect a comfy bed, quiet room, hot shower, and dark curtains. This place met all our needs in the aforementioned categories. Is the room dated? Yes Do I care? No. I am not there for aesthetics. I want to shower and sleep until it is time for the next adventure. And I want the room DARK and QUIET so the little dears sleep until at least 7 am. It was a quick 10 min drive to the springs; about 15 to the national park gate. Bonus, the restaurant made a good western breakfast. Extra bonus, without requesting, they set up a small bed for my 5 yr. old. Next time we are out near Kaho Yai, we will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Khao Yai garden lodge for 2 nights with my boyfriend , and this hotel was not up to our expectations . The room and bathroom were not very cleaned. We asked for breakfast in the morning and we were told there is nothing and it's better if we go by ourselves to 7/11 , we were just about to leave at the 7/11 and they finally realized and told us she will go and prepare something for us . As for the transfer, we asked how to go to Bangkok by bus , and the receptionist was apparently not really aware . Anyway , an other guest house , very close offered us the transfer. If you come to visit Khao Yai , better stay in Greenleaf guesthouse !

After travelling 4 weeks throughout Thailand, we got to know what to expect for flash/backpacker-budget. The Khao Yai Garden lodge we chose because it was a suggestion/tip in "lonely planet" (for accommodation and daytour to the national park). We where quite disappointed by the lousy rooms, unmotivated personal and on top the useless guide called "Bonsai" on our tour to the national park. Best thing was the nearby bottle store to take off the edge...

Family style kind of lodge. The environment is good, beside this lodge there is one petrol station. In the surrounding there is some shop such as amazon coffee, street food vendor as well as one 7-11 convenience store. Every things is big, such as room, bed, bathroom & living hall. Marble bed frame & marble bath tub etc, seeing marble everywhere in the room. Cooling weather to travel in December. We didn't on the air conditioning. The bath tub tap is quite run down and the water heated is not working well at time get cold water and at time water is very hot. No buffet style of breakfast, only one serving per person. The staff is friendly & kind, they respond to our request for asking extra one slice of bread. Overall am happy with our stay.

We stayed here for three nights. We had two rooms connected. They were clean and nice. The staff were nice and they did their very best. They made a few mistakes with our food, didnot get the order right, but the food was nice. And they were very friendly. We booked a two day private tour to Khao Yai Park. The first day we were not soms lucky with our guide. It was an eldery man. He was very rude. Ask for the female guide miss Noy. She knows a lot about the animals and the plants. We had a lovely day. The hotel compensated die the rude guide. And they brought is to the trainstation. The place may be a little out of date. But I cannot understand people complaining. Look at the price you pay. Enjoy the friendlyness.
